Amble Sell Out Belsonic Belfast as All Three 2027 Irish Shows Reach Capacity

Amble have completed a remarkable Irish tour hat-trick, selling out their three major outdoor concerts planned for summer 2027.

The globally acclaimed folk band will play Belsonic in Belfast on Wednesday 23 June 2027, alongside sold-out shows at Malahide Castle in Dublin and Thomond Park in Limerick.

For Belfast fans, the result is particularly significant. The Belsonic concert will be the trio’s biggest headline show in the city so far, marking another major step in a rise that has taken Amble from intimate venues to some of Ireland’s most celebrated outdoor stages in just a few years.

A huge summer ahead for Amble

Robbie Cunningham, Oisín McCaffrey and Ross McNerney formed Amble in late 2022 after leaving careers in teaching and data science. Their warm harmonies, understated musicianship and emotionally direct songwriting quickly built a deeply loyal audience at home and overseas.

That connection is now filling venues on a much larger scale. The trio sold more than 130,000 headline tickets during 2025, accumulated over 300 million global streams and enjoyed a multi-week spell at number one in Ireland with their debut album, Reverie.

They also ended 2025 with three sold-out nights at Dublin’s 3Arena, performing to more than 40,000 fans in total. Their growing international profile has included touring stadiums and arenas with Hozier, supporting Dermot Kennedy, making their American television debut on The Kelly Clarkson Show and performing at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry.

Festival appearances at Newport Folk Festival, Lollapalooza Chicago and Outside Lands have helped carry their music to an even wider audience, while their expanding North American tours have also attracted strong demand.

New album arrives ahead of Belsonic

The sold-out Irish concerts follow the announcement of Amble’s second studio album, Love And All Its Wares, which is due for release through Warner Records on 29 January 2027.

Recorded during an intensive three-week period at Grouse Lodge Recording Studios in County Westmeath, the album is set to expand the gentler sound heard on Reverie. Its songs explore love, idealism, life on the road and the exhaustion that can accompany a relentless touring schedule.

The latest single, Last Rites, reflects that tension. The band describes it as a song about holding on to your true identity while internal doubts and outside pressures pull you in different directions.

Produced by Philip Weinrobe, the record follows recent tracks including The Swell, Moral Victory and The Rarest Hour.

From small rooms to sold-out landmarks

Amble’s ascent has been unusually fast, but it has never felt manufactured. Their success has grown from songs that sound personal, performances that feel intimate even in large venues and an audience willing to follow them from small clubs to castles, stadiums and festival fields.

Selling out Belsonic, Malahide Castle and Thomond Park is more than an impressive run of ticket sales. It confirms that Amble have become one of the biggest contemporary Irish live acts of their generation.

When the trio walk onto the Belsonic stage next June, it will be in front of their largest Belfast headline crowd yet—and a city that clearly did not need much persuasion to turn up.
