IHF Skillnet celebrates graduates of the ‘Hotel Leadership and Management Development Programme’

Shaping Brighter Futures – Equipping participants with the skills, knowledge and confidence to excel

Earlier this week, the IHF Skillnet celebrated 40 graduates of the ‘Hotel Leadership and Management Development Programme’ at a ceremony in the Clayton Hotel, Cardiff Lane. Graduates received framed Certificates of Achievement and were joined by IHF President Denyse Campbell, IHF Skillnet Manager Dervla O’Neill and Course Director Marc Thornton.

This was the third iteration of the twelve-week course which aims to equip managers and supervisors with the skills, knowledge and confidence to excel in their role and hospitality career. The carefully curated modules include: Marketing Planning, Financial Management, Role of the Manager, Human Resources, Kitchen & Waste Management, Health and Safety, Revenue Management, F&B Operations Management, Upselling and Customer Service. 

The course is delivered by an expert panel of trainers – Marc Thornton, DTA Marketing; Blaithnaid Bergin, The Business of Food; John Carolan, Solve Accounting; Valerie Keenan Farrell, Simply HR; John Cronin, ECS Safety Training; Martin Potts, Synergy Prochef; Oonagh Cremin & Deirdre McDonald, The Innovate Room; John Healy, Restaurant GM at Suesey Street and Maître d’ on RTE’s ‘The Restaurant’.
