Madra Salach go back to Vicar Street in April after December sold out in minutes

Round two on Thomas Street

Nialler9 reports that Madra Salach’s December Vicar Street show sold out in minutes. So the Dublin six-piece have booked a second one, on Wednesday 14 April 2027, as part of their Gorta Tour.

The album

Gorta is out on 15 January via Island Records. The sleeve, by Oscar Torrans, shows a Blemmyes, the headless figure of ancient legend whose face sits in its chest.

The band call it an album about “what we carry from the generations before us, what we leave behind, and the many forms that hunger can take.”

Tickets

Tickets go on sale Friday 23 October at 10am from singularartists.ie and Ticketmaster.ie. Belfast gets them three nights earlier at the Telegraph Building: read the Belfast story on LoveBelfast. And in June they open for Fontaines D.C. at Slane.
