Rod Stewart Adds Second Dublin Date After 3Arena Farewell Show Sells Out

Dublin was never going to let Rod go quietly. Night one of The Final Encore at 3Arena (Friday 23 April 2027) has sold out, so a second show has been added for Saturday 24 April 2027, with special guest Howard Jones.

And this is the big one. Rod says this tour is his last: “After more than six decades, The Final Encore will most definitely be my last.” If you’ve ever wanted to belt out Maggie May with a few thousand fellow Dubs, this is your night.

The need-to-knows

  • Who: Rod Stewart, with special guest Howard Jones
  • Where: 3Arena, Dublin 1
  • When: Saturday 24 April 2027, doors 6pm
  • Presales (Artist and Three+): Tuesday 6 October, 10am, closing Thursday 8 October at 9am
  • General sale: Thursday 8 October, 10am, on Ticketmaster.ie
  • Age: under-16s must be with an adult
  • Promoter: Aiken Promotions

Heads up: it’s a Thursday on-sale

Most big Dublin gigs go on general sale on a Friday, but this one goes on Thursday 8 October at 10am. Get your Ticketmaster login sorted, put an alarm in the phone, and don’t leave it until the weekend. Night one didn’t hang around.

What’s on the setlist?

The Final Encore is billed as a full trip through one of pop’s great songbooks. The official list includes:

  • Maggie May and You Wear It Well
  • Tonight’s the Night (Gonna Be Alright) and Hot Legs
  • Da Ya Think I’m Sexy? and Young Turks
  • The First Cut Is the Deepest and Have I Told You Lately
  • Sailing, and “many more”

Why it’s a big deal

  • Rod has sold more than 250 million records worldwide.
  • He has 11 UK number one albums, from Every Picture Tells a Story (1971) to Swing Fever (2024).
  • He’s a two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee: solo in 1994, and with Faces in 2012.
  • Dublin is where the final lap starts. The spring 2027 run opens at 3Arena before Belfast on 27 April, then Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London.

Rod is now 81. Earlier this year he had to cut short his One Last Time tour in the US and Mexico after a heart operation, RTÉ and the Press Association reported. That makes a Dublin opening night for the very last tour feel even more special.

Who’s Howard Jones?

He’s your 80s synth-pop hero. Howard Jones burst out in 1983 with New Song, then followed it with What Is Love?, Things Can Only Get Better, Life in One Day and No One Is to Blame. That’s a support slot worth getting in early for.
