Texas announce Dublin 3Arena show to celebrate 30 years of White On Blonde

Texas are bringing their White On Blonde anniversary celebrations to Dublin, with a headline show at 3Arena on Tuesday 19 October 2027.

Sharleen Spiteri and the band will be joined by special guests del Amitri for the Dublin stop on their newly announced UK and European arena tour.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 30 October 2026 via Ticketmaster.ie. A presale begins at 10am on Wednesday 28 October 2026, with registration available through the official Texas website.

Three decades of a defining Texas album

First released in February 1997, White On Blonde helped turn Texas into one of the biggest bands of the era. The album reached Number One in the UK and went on to achieve six-times-platinum certification.

Its appeal stretched beyond the dominant guitar sounds of the time, drawing on soul and trip-hop while putting Spiteri’s distinctive voice at the centre. Songs including Say What You Want, Halo, Black Eyed Boy and Put Your Arms Around Me remain central to the record’s enduring appeal.

The Dublin concert forms part of a tour celebrating the album’s 30th anniversary alongside the band’s wider catalogue of hits.

Anniversary edition arrives in February

A special edition of White On Blonde will be released on 5 February 2027 through Play It Again Sam.

The anniversary release includes sleeve notes by comedian and longtime friend of the band Peter Kay, with formats including an LP with a seven-inch single, a double LP, an expanded double CD and digital editions.

The expanded CD brings together the original album with demos, BBC session recordings, the Wu-Tang Clan remix of Say What You Want and new song Another Way To Cry.

New single features Robert Carlyle in its video

Released alongside the anniversary announcement, Another Way To Cry takes inspiration from Northern Soul, with brass and strings shaping the track.

Its video pairs Spiteri with actor Robert Carlyle in the Scottish Highlands. Directed by Niall Trask, the film pays tribute to Paris, Texas, the movie that inspired the band’s name.

The new material gives fans something fresh to discover ahead of next autumn’s anniversary dates.
